Residential Habilitation

Residential habilitation provides specific training activities that assist the recipients to acquire maintain or improve skills related to activities of daily living. This service focuses on personal hygiene skills such as bathing and oral hygiene; homemaking skills such as food preparation, vacuuming and laundry; and on social and adaptive skills that enables the recipient to reside in the community.

doctor assisting the elderly womanThis training is provided in accordance with a formal implementation plan, developed with the direction from the recipient and reflects the recipient goal(s) from their current support plan. The group homes are Co-ed and primarily serves recipients ages 22 plus. However, there are times when recipients who are at least 18 years old may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Our group homes staff takes pride in providing quality service to recipients with Intellectual Disabilities. Excellent service is our priority and it begins and evolves with the goals of the recipients in mind. We assist and encourage persons to make individual choices, while protecting their rights.

Each recipient is given the opportunity to fulfill their full potentials while living in a warm, friendly, and comfortable family oriented environment.

Both moderate level licensed residential facility/group homes primarily serves recipients with the following conditions:

  1. Mental Retardation
  2. Autism
  3. Cerebral Palsy
  4. Hearing Impairments
  5. Visual Impairments
  6. Dual Diagnosis (Mental Retardation and Mental Illness)
  7. Epilepsy
  8. Diabetes
  9. Parkinson

If the need arises, the group home may be able to accommodate the following recipients on a case-by-case basis:

  1. Mobility Impairments (including those recipients who use wheelchairs, crutches, canes, walkers, or other such devices on an ongoing basis).
  2. Criminal Offences

In addition to the above mentioned conditions, the group home also provides the following services:

  1. Coordinates Behavior Assistance (Wellness and Therapeutic Supports)
  2. Meals are provided, developed by Dietician
  3. Medication Administration
  4. Transportation
